HOLIDAY TAXIS GETS BACK TO BUSINESS (TAXIS)

The global airport transfer specialist has decided to invest in its corporate offering following detailed customer consultation. Chris Oakes, general manager of Business Taxis, said: “We have re-engineered the Business Taxis website and restructured our offline support team. We asked our corporate partners to tell us exactly what they wanted. As such, we have made a significant investment to offer an innovative online booking tool, bolstered by even more competitive pricing and routes. The entire proposition will continue to be supported by our UK customer support team.”

www.businesstaxis.com offers corporate and business travellers a range of quality meet and greet private transfer services, both overseas and in the UK. There is the simple door-to–door service, airport to meeting venue or hotel and the compilation of bespoke itineraries for conferences or events bookable via the Business Taxis Tailor Made department. The website functionality has been developed and enhanced to give our corporate partners to ability to make cancellations or amendments to their bookings. The booking path and user experience have also been streamlined to deliver much quicker search results.

Peter Hilton, Business Taxis’ managing director, said: "We offer the option of an executive service, but our real differentiator is that our standard, high-quality meet and greet service is highly cost competitive, and being used by business travellers across junior, mid and senior management positions, travelling individually or as groups. In these times of austerity, it is our belief that highly reliable and comfortable services such as ours will render expensive peak-capped chauffeur services less relevant to modern businesses.”

The relaunch of Business Taxis will also provide the potential for a valuable new revenue stream for TMCs and travel agencies, as approximately 40% of business travel journeys involve a taxi journey. Business Taxis offers a centralised-billing system, including the ability to pre-pay fares, which creates operational efficiencies for intermediaries and corporates.

From a CO2 emission perspective www.businesstaxis.com works mainly as a paperless organisation. The carbon-offset policy is detailed on the website and the company continues to expand its fleet of hybrid vehicles.
